Delivering a Sustainable Waste Management Solution to Starbucks in Gaston, SC

A recent project in Gaston, South Carolina highlights how smart equipment design and strong dealer partnerships can deliver targeted, sustainable solutions for major brands.

At the heart of the project is an ST1024 auger compactor — custom designed specifically for this Starbucks location to manage coffee chaff, a byproduct of the coffee roasting process. The compactor’s robust design and tailored configuration make it ideal for handling lightweight, fibrous material that traditional systems might struggle with.

Collaborating with Becker on Design & Installation

The project included a raised compactor, featuring a custom ladder, platform, and hopper. Becker managed the on-site installation and connected the unit to the existing Starbucks feed system.

Through our close collaboration with Becker, the local dealer partner on the project, we gathered key site details and equipment requirements to ensure the solution aligned with both Starbucks’ operational needs and sustainability goals.
